PATTY CLAYTON

Olivebridge House
2,750 SF T/Bridge typology modular prefab home

Catskills, NY | 2012

RES4’s Modern Modular prefab homes are custom designed for each site, client & budget, via a systematic design methodology which takes into consideration conceptual components of domesticity coupled with dimensional requirements stemming from the mode of implementation. This house was composed of 5 modules, set onto a poured concrete foundation. The siting of the house, on the side of a mountain, had to negotiate various factors including: optimal angle for solar orientation & for views, connection to the driveway, septic field layout, route of a walking path to the newly created pond, and channeling runoff down the slope.
As project manager, I oversaw day to day administration and drawing coordination with guidance from firm principals from schematic design through completion, including 3D modeling, structural & mechanical coordination, construction documents, bidding negotiation, site visits to modular factory & house site, issuing sketches and furniture selection.
